Text Box: Cllr. Denise Hodgkinson served two terms as Mayor (1999-2000) and (2002-2003). She has represented West Ward for over ten years, but has attended Council meetings since 1955 as a reporter with the Rhyl Journal, where she worked for thirty years. Denise is the editor of “City Times” community newspaper, which was launched twelve years ago to serve St.Asaph and neighbouring areas. Denise is a member of the Board of North Wales International Music Festival and founder member St.Asaph Music and Arts Supporters who promote “City of Music” events. She is also a member of the Governing Body of Ysgol Esgob Morgan, St.Asaph Archaeology Society: St.Asaph Archive Group, Age Concern and River Elwy Care Group. Married to Ken (Chairman of St.Asaph Cricket Club) they have two children and 4 grandchildren. Hobbies include – Gardening and Photography.
