Text Box: Cllrs. Ladies and Gentlemen,      I would just like to say a few words as I complete my two years of office.
Since May 2005, I have had the honour of representing St.Asaph at various venues and on many occasions. I have met some very interesting people and have always endeavoured to raise the profile of St.Asaph at all times. I can truly say I have enjoyed the past two years.

Text Box:  I would like to summarise projects that the Council have undertaken during that time.
Looking back to 2005, the sports pavilion on Roe Plas was opened and continues to be used all year round.  The mini football pitch/events arena was levelled and turf laid.
The Council commenced Community Awards which are now an annual event.
Over the past two years the Council has completed a program of Christmas lighting. This was with funding from local businesses and DESSERT monies.  These monies have also enabled us to light the Black Poplars and with cherry lights, lighten up the centre of St.Asaph.  Very shortly the Parish Church will be illuminated so people can see areas of interest in the winter evenings.
The Council also supports the theme of St.Asaph as the .City of Music. with financial support to the North Wales International Music Festival in September of each year and sponsorship of events in the City of St.Asaph musical programme, and this year is to sponsor a Brass Band in the Cathedral in June.  The now annual Party in the Park has been joined by the very successful Party in the Street which is aimed to become an annual event also.
The Council has supported sport . with an all weather bowling wicket for the Cricket Club, a new toilet block at the Bowling Club, and a hefty £50,000 to ensure a full sized all weather pitch at Ysgol Glan Clwyd.  Support has also been given to St.Asaph Shadows and St.Asaph Football Club.
Play has not been forgotten with a planned refurbishment of Lower Street Playground and a new playground at Bryn Gobaith, Mount Road. The Council also funds play activities during school holidays for local youngsters.  Exercise for a healthy lifestyle will also be encouraged when a Trim Trail is in place along the West bank of the River Elwy.  This can be accessed by all, once the river bridge and cycle track are completed.
We have also recently taken over management of the Tennis Club area and look forward to further development of the site for use by the community.
During the past year the Council has also gone .live. with our own web site.  This has allowed speedier communication with Denbighshire.C.C. and others.
I have not covered every aspect of this Councils Work but you should all be proud of the progress that has been accomplished.
Now most importantly, my thank you.s.
To Ginny for being my consort.
To Elsie for job sharing with Ginny over the past 12 months
To the Clerk Andrew for all his assistance
To the Deputy Mayor Bill for all his help
And to you all for keeping me on my toes so to speak
