Text Box: It has been decided that the Town Council put in a concerted effort to obtain a relief road for St.Asaph.
This should be an ongoing campaign and every avenue should be explored.
St.Asaph is the “Gateway to the Vale of Clwyd” and as such should not be a traffic bottleneck; otherwise it could appear that the “Gateway” is closed. If visitors encounter such a problem on their first visit, they may not try a second time.
If a relief road were in place the High Street area could be developed and more people encouraged to shop there and take advantage of the historic buildings and beautiful riverside location.
St.Asaph could be visited for what it has to offer and more tourism encouraged, whilst the relief road would provide safe, efficient access along the whole of the vale through Denbigh and Ruthin, so the whole area would benefit.
The plan is to start a petition and collect as many names as possible which hopefully, will be backed by our MP. and AM.
